Communicating with Special Populations

Tool for Working with Spanish-Speaking Pediatric Patients

What happens when an EMS clinician and their patient can’t communicate in the same language? What if a pediatric patient is non-verbal? Our project is delivering communication tools built for EMS clinicians facing these very questions with the help of students from UNC-CH Gillings School of Public Health, our EMS community, and our community members!

Tool for Working with Pediatric Patients with Medical Complexities

Pediatric patients with medical complexities are a special population that require assistance of devices to maintain quality of life. Working with them is reportedly one of the greatest challenges clinicians face. Our project aims to offer guidance on how to better deal with that population.
